The Octoverse team approached us looking for a Mario Kart type of game in the Metaverse. Up until then, most racing games were really poorly constructed and weren’t very fun to play.
Initially, Octoverse wanted a classic seaside town with a few themed race tracks. As things progressed more themed tracks would be added to the world. And of course, the drivers would be octopi. Themis and his team worked tirelessly to bring this project in on time and functional. The world was terraformed with build design and construction. The dynamics of the racing game were fine-tuned so that they would be enjoyable for their community of players. We delivered this project in under 2 months.
The Octokart video was created by some of the most talented animators worldwide.
More than 12 animators and modelers with years of past experience in the field united their skills and creativity to produce a cutting-edge piece of animation for Octokart. In the video, you'll see what hundreds of work hours on a specific trailer look like.
